Crispy Chicken Strips ;
Crispy chicken strips, tender juicy and perfectly seasoned. A kids' all time favorite recipe.
Ingredients ;
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into stripes against the grain.*
For the marinade:
1 teaspoon garlic salt.
â–¢2 garlic cloves crushed.
â–¢1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
â–¢1/2 teaspoon paprika.
â–¢1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
â–¢1 cup flour.
1 cup flour.
â–¢2 teaspoon cornstarch.
â–¢2 Tablespoons yogurt.
â–¢1 teaspoon onion powder.
â–¢1 teaspoon tomato paste.
â–¢1 Tablespoon ketchup.
â–¢2 Tablespoons vinegar.
â–¢1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste.
â–¢1 cup water
For coating:
2 cups flour.
â–¢1/4 cup cornstarch.
â–¢1 teaspoon Baking Powder.
â–¢1/2 teaspoon salt.
â–¢1/2 teaspoon turmeric.
â–¢1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
â–¢2 cups Oil for frying
Instructions ;
1 : In a deep bowl combine all the marinade ingredients and stir well.
2 ; Add the chicken and marinade for at least for 3 hours and preferably over night.
3 ; When ready to fry, heat about 2 cups of oil to 365 degrees in a frying pan.
4 ; In a bowl, combine coating ingredients and stir well.
5 ; Remove chicken pieces from marinade. Coat chicken all around with the above mixture but do not press tightly.
6 ; Fry chicken pieces from 2-4 minutes per side depending on its size.
7 ; Serve hot and ENJOY!!
